Acid Catalysed pigmented systems
Intercoat formulate and produce a wide range of acid-catalysed enamels, which can be applied onto a range of differing wooden substrates. Specialised primers are incorporated within the ranges to ensure flexibility, adhesion and the correct build properties.
A/C pigmented enamels can be produced in line with standardised colour card systems, such as RAL, BS4800 and other popular colour ranges. Additionally they can be tailored to your exact requirements, both for colour and gloss, matched to a representative sample.
In house spectrophotometers are used to formulate enamels from either wet or applied Customer samples and then the required quantity can be produced in line with your order as a single batch. This production method ensures 100% consistency between cans packed.
Enamels topcoats are available in a variety of gloss levels and are packed 22.5 litres in a 25 litre can. This allows the associated catalysed to be mixed within the can supplied at the necessary 10:1 mixing ratio.
Modified A/C Enamels
Designed to give enhanced build and durability over pre-catalysed systems, Intercoat’s “modified” Acid Catalysed Enamels have excellent physical performance and compared to “full” A/Cs advantage of quicker drying.

Full A/C Enamels
Standard and bespoke products are available in “full” A/C formulations, offering improved physical and performance characteristics when compared to “modified” versions. This benefit requires a slightly longer drying time.
